Junior High Social Studies | 7th Grade Homeroom Teacher
Hello St. Columba Families,
I hold a B.A. in History from the University of Northern Iowa and a Masters of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in Social Science from the University of Southern California. I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher with the Palm Springs Unified School District and have also previously taught middle and high school Social Studies, Reading and Physical Education at a private international school in San Diego since 2013.
As a teacher, I strive to provide students with nontraditional learning experiences such as interactive teamwork and project infusion. My wife, Michelle and I are proud pet parents to cat Smokey and dog Fred. In my spare time, I enjoy travel, Cubs baseball and Iowa State hoops.
I look forward to becoming a part of the St. Columba community and sharing my passion of the world’s history with my students.
